A dull performance, tainted by a virus. US Cremonese played out a goalless draw against Virtus Entella last Saturday, a result that leaves the grey-reds 15th in Serie B with 5 points. The match at the Giovanni Zini stadium was the focus of discussion on last night's edition of Bar Sport.
Giorgio Barbieri hosted the segment. "A new appointment with Bar Sport airing tonight at 19:00," he announced. Guests included journalist Michele Iondini, coach Stefano Mondini, and former defender Michele Cremonesi. Iondini analysed the game. "A dull performance from Cremonese, tainted by a virus," stated the journalist from Cuore Grigiorosso and L’Ora Buca.
The virus hampered several squad members during the match, contributing to a lacklustre display. The draw follows the away 2-2 result at Cesena on September 12th and the 3-1 home win over Padova on September 6th. Coach Giovanni Stroppa's team now looks ahead to the next away fixture against Arezzo, scheduled for October 10th. Arezzo currently sits in 12th place.
Michele Cremonesi, 38, brought his experience to the studio. The former defender, a product of the Cremonese youth academy who played for the first team from 2005 to 2023, also wore the Entella shirt in 2018. Last season he coached Pergolettese alongside Mario Tacchinardi. The Bar Sport episode was available on Giorgio Barbieri's Facebook page, the Cremona Sera portal, and the YouTube channels of Sport Grigiorosso and Canottieri Bissolati.
