CREMONA - US Cremonese has strengthened its international ties by hosting an Australian youth team for a technical and cultural exchange. On Wednesday, 23 September, the Under 16 team of FC Bulleen Lions from Melbourne took part in the USC Youth Experience, an initiative of the club's youth sector.
The day began with a technical training session at the 'Giovanni Arvedi' Sports Centre, pitch number 2, led by the staff of Cremonese's youth academy. Afterwards, the Australian delegation visited Cremona's city centre and stopped at the US Cremonese Store on Via Solferino 36 to purchase official merchandise.

The group then took a guided tour of the 'Giovanni Zini' Stadium, walking pitchside, visiting the changing rooms and exclusive areas, and taking souvenir photos. The event concluded with a friendly match against Cremonese's own Under 17 team, again at the Arvedi sports centre.
"Cremona and Melbourne have never been so close," a voice from FC Bulleen Lions said. Participation in the USC Youth Experience is open to other teams, who can make a request via email to settore.giovanile@uscremonese.it.
The initiative comes at a positive time for the first team, fresh from a 3-2 away win at Monza and unbeaten in their last five league matches. Cremonese, currently 15th in Serie B with 5 points, will face Arezzo away on 10 October.
