MORTEN THORSBY has pinpointed a recurring issue for US Cremonese and called for unity within the group to overcome a tough period. The Norwegian midfielder spoke at a press conference following the 3-1 defeat away to Pisa on matchday seven of Serie BKT.

"Cremonese always has a drop around the 65th minute. Is it a physical or mental issue?", Thorsby stated. The player acknowledged the team controlled the match well until the 70th minute, but then came the collapse. Pisa started strongly, Cremonese regained command, but it was not enough.

Thorsby admitted the team is not doing enough to win matches. He said something different is needed to improve. The group is aware of its league position and the difficult situation, worsened by several injuries. US Cremonese currently sits 16th in Serie B with 6 points from seven games.

The midfielder denied any tension in the dressing room. "No. When things aren't going well there can be some nervousness, but it's precisely in moments like these that you have to stay united and get even more out of each of us". He added that the only solution is for everyone to move in the same direction. Manager Fabio Pecchia has already spoken to the team after the Pisa match.

Thorsby credited Pisa for their performance. He also noted that six of the eleven Cremonese starters were playing in Serie A last season. In football, he concluded, there are times when things don't go well and you are judged only by the most recent result.

Cremonese's next fixture is at home against Juve Stabia, currently 18th in the table, on Saturday 24 October. A win could significantly shift their league standing. The team can rely on their top scorer this season, Franco Bonazzoli, who has three goals in five appearances. The full upcoming schedule can be found on the fixtures page.

The defeat to Pisa was their third loss in seven league matches. Their form over the last five games reads two wins, two draws and one defeat. Their goal difference stands at minus four, with six scored and ten conceded.
