CREMONA - US Cremonese began their preparations for the Serie B match against Juve Stabia with the first training session of the week at the 'Giovanni Arvedi' Sports Centre. The session took place on Monday 19 October, ahead of the home fixture on Saturday 24 October at 15:00 at the Stadio Zini, for the eighth round of the championship.

The grigiorossi squad, sitting 16th in the table with 6 points, worked in differentiated groups. Players who started in the away defeat to Pisa (3-1) carried out recovery work, while the rest of the team split their time between the pitch and the gym. Head coach Fabio Pecchia and his staff aim to reintegrate some currently injured players for the upcoming match. The team, with a record of one win, three draws and three losses, trails league leaders Palermo by 13 points.

"The second goal from Pisa broke the balance," declared Pecchia, commenting on the match from three days ago. The loss at Pisa ended a positive run of four unbeaten results, which had included an away win against Juventus. Their form over the last five matches, reading the most recent results first, is two wins, two draws and one loss.

Midfielder Morten Thorsby emphasised the need to react. "We stay united to overcome this moment," said the Norwegian.

The training schedule will continue with sessions on the pitch on Tuesday 20, Wednesday 21, Thursday 22 and Friday 23 October, all starting at 11:00. The goal is to be in optimal condition for the clash with Juve Stabia, a team currently in 18th place. Cremonese, who have scored 6 and conceded 10 goals this season, will look to return to winning ways to climb the standings. The top scorer this season is Federico Bonazzoli with 3 goals in 5 appearances. The team faces a key run of home games.
