CREMONA - Fabio Pecchia faces a tactical puzzle ahead of Cremonese's Serie B match against Pisa.

The grey-reds come from two consecutive 0-0 draws against Virtus Entella and Arezzo, with the last result being Arezzo 0-0 Cremonese on 10 October. Cremonese are 15th in Serie B with 6 points from 6 games, having recorded one win, three draws and two losses. The aim is to break this run of draws, though the task is tough against a Pisa side sitting seventh. The team currently trails the league leaders by ten points.

The defensive puzzle

In goal, Marco Fulignati is expected to keep his place, having made a key save from a Cerri header in the second half against Arezzo. In front of him, the central pairing should feature captain Matteo Bianchetti and Sebastiano Luperto. The major issue is at left-back, where the unavailability of Pezzella and Rocchetti forces Pecchia into a difficult choice. The options for the left-back role are two: field an out-of-position player, choosing between Filippo Barbieri or Valerio Elia.

On the right, Lorenzo Baschirotto is favoured over Antonio Vogliacco. In midfield, alongside the confirmed Luca Grassi, the choice is between Morten Thorsby and Andrea Collocolo, while Giovanni Lottici Tessadri appears out of the starting eleven.

Attack leans on Nasti

Up front, multiple absences in the attacking department guide the coach's decisions. The leading option for the centre-forward role is Gianluca Nasti, with the alternative being Luca De Luca. In the attacking midfield line, Vandeputte is set to start on the left, Berti centrally, while on the right the choice is between Andrea Licina and Valerio Elia, should he not be deployed in defence.

Cremonese, unbeaten in their last five matches with two wins and three draws, will look to capitalise on their positive momentum. The team has scored five goals and conceded seven this season. Pecchia and his men must prove they have found the right combination to overcome the difficulties and secure a positive result in the away fixture against Pisa.
