CREMONA - The Integrity Tour 2026/2027 stopped at the Arvedi Sports Center on Tuesday, October 20, involving US Cremonese's first team, technical staff and youth squads in training sessions on ethics and integrity in sport. The initiative, promoted by Serie B through the B4People platform, is delivered in collaboration with SportRadar AG, the Institute for Sport and Cultural Credit, the Italian Footballers' Association and the Department for Drug and Addiction Policies of the Council of Ministers.
The first session, held in the sports center's press room, was dedicated to the first team coached by mister Pecchia and his staff. The speakers, lawyer Marcello Presilla from SportRadar, Danilo Coppola and Alberto Pomini from the AIC, addressed the risks of match-fixing and the importance of protecting the principle of fair competition. A second session featured the Primavera and Under 17 squads, with a specific focus on digital addiction prevention, a central theme of this edition of the tour.
President Paolo Bedin highlighted the value of the initiative. "Through B4People we carry forward a concrete commitment through the Integrity Tour to spread the values of ethics and inclusion," the president stated. "Shared work that allows us to tackle central themes for the sporting world, from the prevention of digital addictions to safeguarding the principle of fair competition. We want football to increasingly be a context where young people can develop awareness and professionalism, on and off the pitch".
The event comes at a moment of reflection for the grey-reds, following last Saturday's 3-1 defeat away to Pisa, which keeps them in 16th place in the table with 6 points. Pecchia's team has taken 2 wins, 2 draws and one defeat in its last five matches, a run that leaves them 13 points behind leaders Palermo. The next fixture is at home against 18th-placed Juve Stabia on Saturday, October 24, a key match to move up the standings.
The Integrity Tour, whose pilot event was held in Rome last March 25, aims to promote conscious use of technology among young athletes, identifying the pitch, the dressing room and the group as places for growth and positive relationships. For US Cremonese, also engaged in activities for its Under 9 and Under 10 youth sectors, the training day represents a piece of its players' development path, ahead of Saturday's home match.
